๐Ÿš Korean Home Dining | Cook, Eat & Connect ๐Ÿ‡ฐ๐Ÿ‡ท

Have you ever wondered what Korean people actually eat at home?

There are countless videos, meal kits, and cooking classes about Korean food. As a Korean, I sometimes watch them and think,

โ€œWellโ€ฆ thatโ€™s not really how we eat at home.โ€ ๐Ÿ˜Š

So I wanted to create something a little different.

This isnโ€™t about learning the โ€œperfectโ€ recipe or recreating restaurant dishes. Itโ€™s about experiencing the kind of meals many Koreans grow up eatingโ€”simple, comforting food shared around one table.

I canโ€™t represent every Korean family, but Iโ€™d love to share the food and dining culture that I grew up with.

One thing thatโ€™s especially important to me is the ingredients. Because this is home cooking, I donโ€™t want to choose the cheapest ingredients or cut corners. Iโ€™d rather cook the way I would for my own family or close friends, using fresh, good-quality ingredients that make the meal feel warm, cozy, and truly satisfying.

Every gathering will feature a different everyday menuโ€”from kimchi stew and doenjang jjigae to homemade side dishes and other comforting meals that are common in Korean homes. Along the way, Iโ€™ll also share little stories about Korean food culture, family traditions, and the memories connected to each dish.

No cooking experience is needed. Weโ€™ll prepare the meal together, set the table together, enjoy dinner together, and spend the evening talking like friends.

I hope youโ€™ll leave not only with a full stomach, but with the feeling that youโ€™ve just had dinner at a Korean friendโ€™s home.
